Merry Christmas Tony Horton

For Christmas this years, we have added a new member of the family (at least for the next 90 days). Tony Horton. He appears twice a day in one hour increments. Hello P90X, goodbye Chocolate.

In order to kick off the start of our P90X journey, Joe and I had one final delicious meal.

after we ate the tasty milk shake and burgers with fries, we hit the grocery store.

We now enjoy protein shakes with banana, whole wheat bread, tuna, and protein bars. Yum!

time to dust off the ol' crock pot

So it is September now. Joe and I have been married for over 15 months and it has been wonderful! I love being a wife! side note: having a terrific husband like mine makes being a wife awesome. In order to become a better wife I want to start learning to cook better. Joe has had to suffer through repeated rounds of spaghetti  alfredo, chicken, canned beans, frozen meals, and hot pockets for far too long. side note: mix in a lot of eating out in that cycle as well. So, this month I have started our first ever meal plan. It may not last long but I'm hopeing it will at least kick start me into learning to make new meals. This week two of the new dishes I am going to try and make are Salsa Verde CrockPot Chicken and Jalapeno and Cream Cheese Stuffed Chicken. They both sounds tasty and easy! If the attempt at cooking goes south, and the meals turn out sub-par there is always Little Caesars!  :)

family is a gift that lasts forever

Today I found the pictures that we took with Joe's family back in December of 2010. I haven't seen them before today because Joe and I may or may not have misplaced the disc when we first got it. {opps}

Now, eight months later when I looked at these pictures...

I am so glad I found them.

Introducing... Royalty Rentals!

My Mom, Nancy, and I have started a business!! It is a full service table and chair rental company in Chandler, AZ, Royalty Rentals. Here is our story so far and some pictures to enjoy.

After going through 2 weddings in 6 months (mine and Joe's and my sister Tatum and her husband Collin) we had the desire to get into the chair and table rental business. We had rented chairs and tables for each of our weddings and received service that was average, nothing to great about it, nothing really wrong with it, just average. We decided that  it was something we would enjoy and could really provide people with the kind of service that would help them enjoy preparing for their event. We also were amazed at the cost of rental tables and chairs and felt that we could also offer better pricing to people like us, who had a budget and want to get the most out of their money. We are loving running this business together and look forward to the future of Royalty Rentals.

This is our first shipment we had delivered, White Resin Chairs!

This is the white resin chairs we offer, it is a padded chair. We also offer black resin chairs and metal folding chairs.

Our trailer loaded after we received some of our 60 inch tables!

Joe and I, he is so great to help us with the deliveries! I love him!!

April Showers Bring May (Crochet) Flowers

So this morning my sister Tatum and I decided to learn how to make crochet flowers. (A special thanks to youtube tutorials for making this happen). Tatum has been crocheting for years and picked up the flower technique like a champ. It took me a little longer, and a few restarts but I did get it down and now have 2 crochet flower hair clips (that i love).

I'm still working on getting the tension to be just right so it is even and tighter but with practice it will happen. haha! (and since this picture was taken a cute button has been added to the center!)

After we finished making the crochet flowers, we busted out the feathers from my sister's ever-so-deep-and-filled-to-the-brim-with-every-single-thing-you-could-ever-need-to-do-any-craft closet, we made hair clips out of feathers and jewels. I was a bit sceptical if I would actually wear anything i made myself out of feathers, but I am already planning my first outfit around the clip. love it. looks like it is turning out to be the start of a very crafty summer. :)

The Start

There are two people that can get credit for me starting this blog. 1. My wonderful and handsome husband Joe. 2. My ultra creative awesome sister Tatum.

Before I was married to Joe, I thought I knew the "world wide web" and what it had to offer, little did I know, He would introduce me to a whole new way to use the internet. Not only do I now have (just to name a few) a gmail account, internet on my cell phone, and monthly budget online, I have a blog. (I know that to most people these things are no brainers, but to me they are a revolution). Without having Joe in my life I would still be with outlook, a flip phone, and probably not even have an organized budget. There are countless ways that he has enriched my life and helped me grow as a person, and now blogging can be added to that ever-growing list.

Tatum has been my "role model" if you will, for many years. Well actually for my whole life. Not the type of role model where you want to dress how they do, or get involved in the exact same hobbies or really even share the same strengths and talents. But the type of role model where you can see how through hobbies and talents unique to her, I want to develop my own hobbies and talents however different they may be from hers. She's had a blog for quite sometime and seeing her fun and interesting ways to share who she is through blogging, I decided to join in the fun!
